Your Responsibility

Please remember that the health, safety and well-being of your pets is ultimately your responsibility. While we provide helpful guidance, it's important to use your best judgment when deciding how to apply any advice or recommendations.

Please note that, as per the law, we can't make formal guarantees about the performance, accuracy or safety of our products, or your use of them.

Physical Damage

Petivity Smart Tracker devices for dogs are designed for animals to wear and to provide them with various benefits. We take great care to ensure these devices are safe for everyday use and meet or exceed all the necessary safety standards.

However, our devices can't be designed to be completely resistant against accidental or deliberate chewing, swallowing, playing, opening, attack, damage, modification or other misuse by an animal or human.

You are responsible for preventing misuse of and damage to Petivity Smart Tracker devices.

You must prevent any animal or child from playing with, chewing or otherwise attacking Tracker devices when they're being worn. If they're not wearable, or when they're not being worn, you must keep them out of reach of animals and children. No one should open, pierce or attempt to repair or modify any Tracker device.

If a device becomes visibly damaged (whether deliberately or accidentally, even if it's still working), is damaged by water (even if waterproof), stops working properly or gets hot, follow these steps:

  • Immediately stop using it
  • Remove it from an animal if appropriate
  • Put it in a safe place out of reach of animals and children
  • Contact us for repair, replacement or safe disposal instructions

In these situations, we are unable to take responsibility for any further consequences resulting from such damage.

Battery Risks

Our devices contain internal batteries that carry risks if mistreated. These include rechargeable batteries that can cause fire and other harms if damaged, pierced or short-circuited, and coin cells that can cause immediate serious or fatal harm to animals or people if chewed, swallowed or inserted into the body.

In order to reduce these risks, follow the guidance in the Physical Damage section of this page.

Seek immediate medical or veterinary advice if you think any battery has been chewed, swallowed or placed inside the body of an animal or human.

Disposal

If you want to dispose of a Petivity Smart Tracker device (including at the end of its life), do so safely and follow local rules for electronic waste. Do not burn a device or throw it in your trash.
